What A DICK!!!

By Chris Rugh | February 27, 2010

Earlier this week, prior vice president, Dick Cheney, had his 5th heart attack, could it have happened because he continuously sticks his nose into places it no longer belongs and his stress levels are through the roof since he is such a dick? Dick Cheney, I’m pretty sure God hates you since she keeps stopping your heart… The Devil on the other hand, keeps restarting it…

He should now, more than ever, stick to something he’s actually good at like shooting his friends in the face with bird shot… ahhh how relaxing.., what I’m in fact saying is: Stick to quitting your day job Dick…the nation would appreciate …

Wacked Out Internal GPS…

By Chris Rugh | February 25, 2010

Everybody has heard of the word intuition, but how many of you out there really believe in the power of the inner voice?  Being a business person myself, I have long since learned to trust my inner voice.  It has guided me through plenty of business deals, and more than once it saved me millions, just by listening to the little voice inside my head warning me against the decision I was about to make.

To give you an example, I have a vacation house I rent out to prospective clients.  Last week, I received an application for a family who wanted to rent the house for three …

Stop Spending My Money!!!

By Chris Rugh | February 23, 2010

Generally money flows in circles, you get paid, you pay all your outstanding accounts, and the store who received your payments will spend it at another supplier or store, and so the circle continues on and on…  Now spending is a good thing for the economy, it keeps the economy healthy, growing at a steady rate.  The problem comes in when people start over spending, living above their means.  According to analyst, borrowing money to the public is a good thing, it aids in keeping the economy in a healthy state.

They even go so far as to claim that the public aren’t spending enough.

I recently read that some dumb …

Speaking – a Verbal Ass Whipping…

By Chris Rugh | February 20, 2010

When you say the dreadful words of PUBLIC   SPEAKING, everybody’s stomachs suddenly start turning inside out and unwanted feelings of fear and disease suddenly takes over.  However, public speaking is nothing other than the 99% of normal communication we do on a daily basis.  If you sit down and think about it, all successful projects and other triumphs all involved communication as the base form.

On the other hand, the same goes for losses and other failures, bad communication skills can ruin even the best business plan if it isn’t communicated properly.  So as you can see, even if you don’t want to admit to it now, good communication skills …

The I in TEAM…

By Chris Rugh | February 6, 2010

I recently received an email containing pictures of people plundering the endangered sea turtle‘s nests, walking away with bags filled to the brim with sea turtle eggs.  It reminded me just how selfish humans are.  We analyze everything on a scale of how much it would benefit us, and when the benefits are low, we simply disregard the matter and go on with our busy lives.  Is that perhaps why our environment is in such a state today?  Is it because there is no direct personal gain to be found that we all are so unwilling to change our ways, and do something concrete to preserve our beautiful planet …

Google, your BIG BROTHER, like it or NOT

By Chris Rugh | February 4, 2010

The Google Social Search program was recently launched, which translates in to a public social web of content that has special relevance to each person using the search engine of the web.  It recognizes your social network, and when you search a topic on the web, it will automatically include search results from you social network and linking it to that specific topic.  This really got me thinking about the matter of how much Google really knows about each of us.  To be quite honest, I think Google knows more about you, than what your spouse or mother even knows, and frankly, that scares the living crap out of …

Mushroom Mentality

MUSHROOM MENTALITY

Whenever a natural disaster occurs, you can be sure that the whole world will give abundantly of their time, and of their hard-earned money. Now with the Haiti disaster happening, as with any natural disaster, charity organizations start popping up everywhere and clustering like mushrooms around the same common cause  supposedly making it easier for us to donate our hard-earned money, and bringing relief to the victims in the disaster area.

Estimates of donated funds to the Haiti disaster are about  $164 765 000! Everybody is donating millions of dollars towards …

Mental Oppression Syndrome

By Chris Rugh |

The recession, has affected us all in one way or another.  Everywhere you go, you see the evidence of how the recession mutilated our economy with its grubby hands.  People have become paranoid to spend their money, holding on to whatever money they have.  Even president Obama wants to reduce the yearly budgets to almost half of what it was previously, which as you might realize, is one of the worst things that could now happen to the economy.

If we want to start making more money, and really start growing our businesses, we will have to stop listening to the horror frenzy the media is cooking …

Shhhhh your Advice is Hurting my Ears !

By Chris Rugh | January 21, 2010

Have you ever been on the wrong side of “good advice”, if you have then you will know exactly what I’m talking about.  In general, people always want to help and often it ends up hurting more than helping  while and giving us an ear full of their “good advice”.   People learn best when they solve their own problems. As they say…  Its not the kill.. it’s the thrill of the chase and learning is best done banging your own head against that wall.
Giving advice can be a very touchy subject; you need to take the person on the receiving side into consideration.  You have heard the …

Trying Is Lying

By Chris Rugh | January 13, 2010

Have I ever mentioned my distaste for the words try or trying? To me the word try means that the person speaking never intends on keeping their promises, and therefore they are flat out lying about whatever matter they were promising to “try” and do. I have previously heard the saying: “Trying is the first step towards failure”, which I believe to be true.
There is a distinct difference between trying …
