Work Hard So You Don’t Have to Work
I’m the kind of guy who actually doesn’t t work very much. In fact, as many of you know, I often only work for around 10 to 20 hours a week. Sometimes even i’m surprised at how littlle “work” i do. Some weeks though, I work for around 40, 50 or 60 hours. But those weeks are rare… REALLY RARE
, and are far and few in between. However, the important point to remember is that I do have those weeks.
Sometimes you often hear people talk about things such as not working very hard or not working a lot and how “easy” this project is going to be. Comments like, you don’t have to do this and that you can do that in just a couple of hours a week. These things are rare and almost never true and general end up in failure. If your going to work just a little bit in life you need to know when you have to bust your ass or bust your ass hard enough to establish systems that allow you to work just a little bit later on for the long haul.
Those things don’t magically appear and you just don’t start up right away doing 10 hour work weeks. You actually just have to put in the maximum amount of time, energy and effort to push that rock up the hill. So it is really important that you have this understanding and knowledge that when you’re moving forward in a situation, that you are willing to work that hard. I often say.. “I work to hard so that i don’t have to work”

Speaking of pushing the rock up the hill, Colleen Wainwright’s NSFW ditty about just that, always helps me re-adjust my attitude and get off my sorry a*s.
Thank you, Chris, for another reminder.
