Happy Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving! It’s a time when food, family, and football come non-stop, awesome! Seriously, it’s also a time when I pause and reflect on how good my life is. It’s a time when I’m thankful for longevity and profitability in my business endeavors.
My business life hasn’t always been as successful as it is today. I’ve talked about how I went to the ‘school of hard knocks’ in the early years. One thing I’ve learned is that you can’t do it all by yourself, which is why I am thankful for business life coaching.
When I was starting out, there was no such thing as business life coaching. It has only become popular in recent years. Before that, folks may have had a mentor. But today, business life coaching can make a HUGE difference in your life!
When I say your LIFE, I mean your entire life: family, career, finances, relationships, living environment, health, and spirituality! This is such an important concept, that I am going to say it more than once. Business life coaching is the key to BALANCE and PERSPECTIVE for every aspect of your life.

In order to be successful in life, you’ve got to have balance.
It’s the law of: not too much or too little of anything.
If you work all the time, and don’t make time for friends, family and relaxation, you will die at your desk at a young age. If you play all the time and never work, you’ll starve to death…unless you have a trust fund. If you eat only donuts, you will have a heart attack and keel over. If you eat nothing but fiber, you’ll poop wicker! It’s all about balance. This leads to my next point.
Maintaining balance is intertwined with ‘perspective.’
It’s the law of: how sound is this idea when it’s held up to the light and assessed.
Many times people, who are crazy, don’t realize it because they don’t know what normal is. Likewise, many smart, creative business entrepreneurs don’t survive in business because they don’t have perspective. They’re so immersed in their business that they don’t see it accurately. What’s clearly a bad idea, or a needed service can be overlooked or undervalued due to one’s involvement in it.
Business life coaching is grounded on these two ideas: to be successful in business you need balance and perspective, both of which are best realized with the help of an outsider…a business life coach.
This is why I refer to business life coaching as the ‘fountain of youth’ for entrepreneurs. You remember legend. There was some place in Florida that Ponce de Leon swore up and down had these rejuvenating fountains. If you swam in them or drank from them, you would become younger. Well, you can spend your life looking for this fantasy brew, or you can be proactive and do the work to rejuvenate your business! Business life coaching simply involves hiring a shrewd business professional to help you stay balanced and keep proper perspective.
The funny thing about business life coaching is not only does it help you improve every aspect of your business, it also helps you thrive in your personal life too. It wasn’t until I had hired a business life coach that I realized not only was my business more organized and profitable, but every other part of my life improved as well.
