Haiti donations are high for many reasons. Most (U.S.) giving comes in small amounts from the "little people". It was quick & easy to give a small amount to an organization doing work in Haiti, especially with text-to-donate options. Perhaps there could be a new social media proliferated meme? Instead of spending time on Facebook to doppelgänger my photo or declaring my bra color, I could announce my current text-to-give donation . . . But how to do that without appearing holier-than-thou?
