Two of the World?s leading business masterminds have joined forces to change the face of education in Hong Kong. CEO of SalesPartners Worldwide? and Internationally Acclaimed Speaker, Blair Singer is honored to be chosen by Po Chung, co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of DHL Asia-Pacific, to aid in reforming the country?s school system. Currently, Hong Kong?s eight Universities run on a three year academic discipline-based curriculum. Converting to a more balanced four-year undergraduate degree will provide the students with a higher education that will ultimately make them more competitive in the ever evolving global marketplace.
Hong Kong was recognized as a powerhouse in manufacturing but today over 93% of Hong Kong?s GDP is in the service industry. The schools and its teachers need an infusion of new thinking to reflect this change. By providing a liberal arts, general education it will enable students to question values that are contrary to those that promote self-responsibility and reinforce values and attitudes that encourage solving personal, community and global problems. Blair Singer?s extensive experience in teaching others how to teach, particularly in the areas of accelerated learning, business development and personal growth will convert the system in significant and profound ways.
For more than two decades, Blair Singer has empowered people to go beyond their ordinary selves and reach peak performance rightfully earning him a reputation as a highly sought after and top expert in sales, business and personal growth.
A World-class motivational speaker, Singer has the unique ability to jump start people and organizations into action. He gets them to shake up the status quo, change behaviors and achieve unprecedented results. Spanning 20 countries on five continents his clients range from Fortune 500 companies like Singapore Airlines, Deutsche Bank, Redken, HSBC and IBM to small businesses, entrepreneurs, sales teams and, now, Singer is thrilled to add such an important project as Hong Kong?s Educational System to the roster. He applies the same tried and true principals that work for big corporations to the business of everyday life, helping individuals hungry for greater success.
The Hong Kong General Education Initiative was made possible due to the generous donation by Po Chung and his wife. The Po and Helen Chung Foundation has provided over one million dollars in grants to enable participating Hong Kong universities to recruit Fulbright Scholars to help fulfill their mission. The University Grants Committee provided additional funding through its Matching Grant Program.
Mr. Chung is committed to academic freedom and the positive influence that a liberal arts education can have on a population, the cultural and its politics, as well as the development of tomorrow?s leaders.
