Carlsbad, CA (PRWEB) May 31, 2010
Highlighting her community leadership, organization experience, and years on the Carlsbad Arranging Commission, Carlsbad City Council Candidate Farrah Douglas launched her bid for a seat on the city council which will be determined November 2nd, 2010.
Held at the beautiful newly renovated Carlsbad Inn overlooking the Pacific Ocean, much more than 100 people listened to numerous Carlsbad icons and organization leaders as they vouched for Farrah Douglas's passion, energy, expertise, drive and a love for Carlsbad's neighborhood and households.
Farrah addressed the crowd and explained eloquently why she is motivated to serve and the vision she wishes to bring to the city. She detailed how she believes in Individuals not Politics. "I am not operating to get my hands on a seat at the Council and turn into yet another career Politician. I am operating because for me serving you as your Council member is a passion, a calling. What is critical to me is to serve you with full honesty and transparency," stated Douglas.
The crowd broke into a loud cheer when Farrah Douglas promised "I will usually have your back and will never ever sell out our neighborhoods, our households and the future of our city to any unique interest groups."
For 20 years Farrah Douglas has been directly involved in the City of Carlsbad as a organization owner and community leader. Farrah is a proactive advocate for the households of Carlsbad. She is presently serving as the Chair of the Carlsbad arranging commission and is active in many community and organization organizations like Chamber of Commerce and Hi-Noon Rotary Club. Farrah is the recipient of the San Diego Enterprise Journal's 2009 "Women Who Mean Company Award."
