Being Yourself, The Big Celebration!

By blogger | June 17, 2010

Being Yourself, The Big Celebration! Celebrating life, in essence also comes down to celebrating the person who defines who you really are, celebrating the being that sits at the center of who you truly are.  Through years of conditioning, most of us lose touch with our true selves; we push ourselves into this mold the world expects us to be.  We start looking at ourselves in judgment and disdain, feeling that being ourselves aren’t good enough, that we have to do this, or change that, just so that we can conform to someone else’s idea of what we should be like.  Then, as if we feel the world haven’t done enough damage, we then pick up where they left off, and continuously tell ourselves that being our true selves aren’t good enough, further breaking down the person who sits at the heart of our beings.

It is so easy giving in to the conditioning we have received, completely forgetting who we truly are at the heart of our being.  Being honest with yourself at this moment, can you say that are you still in touch with the person who is you? Or have you taken on the personality of the mask you have been wearing for so long?  We need to start realizing that our opinion about ourselves is only opinion that truly matters.  We have to stop looking outside ourselves for approval, and start taking pride in the person who we are, lifting our heads and being ourselves.  I have this saying that I live by: Fuck the world, we are the world!  So let’s stop looking outside ourselves for approval, and start worrying more about what we think about ourselves.

What we think of ourselves, now that is truly an important matter.  I understand not everyone is blessed with the same amount of self confidence, but if we work at finding ourselves again and being comfortable and accepting the person we truly are, then the world is our playground. So what if you are a little overweight, or if you aren’t good with numbers, or whatever flaw you keep bashing your confidence with.  Not everyone can be good at everything, and it is also impossible for someone to be good at nothing.  You just need to find what you good at and focus on that instead.  The way we look at ourselves, is also the way others will be looking at you.  Turn your focus inside and unleash the magnificent being that is hiding underneath that mask you wear.

Again I will say: Fuck the people, We are the people; Fuck the world, We are the world!  Stop focusing on what others think, and start celebrating the unique person who defines you!

When you order frogs legs at a restuarant what do they do with the rest of the frog ? – Well surely they just throw the rest of the frog away and take it to the tip.
