A Better Way to Gamble
I”m in Las Vegas with some friends and I”m hanging out with Andy Liu (www.buddytv.com). Andy is a great person and like most of the people that I hang out with in life I’ve learned a few things from him over the years. One of his finest qualities is his ability form partnerships and mitigate his personal risk by “working together” .
Today Andy and I are pooling our money with his business partner David Niu so we can hit the craps table. Its fun to bet big, it’s also fun to limit your exposure. I like the way Andy is thinking so I throw my cash into the pot.
Now its time to find the table of our dreams. Times are tough so we are “recession betting” and Andy is once again spot on by going with the flow and we pick a table with no energy, lots of frowning faces and someone that has the same idea as us. A little old lady at the end of the craps table and nobody will stand next to her because she keeps betting “with the house” on the Don’t Come line which is exactly our plan. For those of you who don’t roll craps. The Don’t Come line is if everyone on the table loses.. YOU WIN.
So here is our team of partners so far in case you were surfing porn and reading this at the same and only giving it your half attention.
Andy Liu – MoneyMan, Chip Layer, and Mastermind
David Niu- MoneyMan, and his main job was to sleep in the room
Chris Rugh- MoneyMan, Manager of Manifestations intending and keeping Andy thinking 7s
Strange Lady- Keepin’ the faith
Harrah’s Casino – My least favorite place on the planet is now my business partner and we are in biz to take money together.
A pretty crack team if i do say so myself. We hit the table but before we did that like the good business people we are Andy and I set an Exit Plan, 2x return and we outtie……
It took us about 30ish or so minutes and we were running hot on the table with our new partners. Since I like outsourcing I let Andy do most of the thinking and touching of the chips. In fact I never touched the chips and I only chimed in a few times to keep things on track and stuck to my job of manifesting 7s. Final tally, an ROI of 115% on our original investment.
GOOD JOB TEAM
On top of that we had some good clean fun, and a great blog post. You never know where you’ll get great business ideas. Sometimes its just a roll of the dice.
